Deep in the forests of Southwest Virginia, where ridgelines rise steep and creeks cut through ancient story filled rocks, the Woodbooger is said to roam. Whether you believe the legend or not, one thing is certain, this terrain demands respect.

The Woodbooger 100 is a trail endurance event hosted by Southwest Virginia Running, in partnership with the City of Norton, designed to showcase the rugged beauty of the High Knob region while celebrating community, resilience, and the joy of doing hard things together.

This is not just a race.
It’s an experience rooted in places older than written word, stories passed thru generations, and mountain spirits.
