Thank You for an Incredible Day at the New River Trail Races

There are race days that feel smooth, and then there are race days that feel meaningful. This year’s New River Trail Races was one of those truly meaningful days.

From the first light over Fries to the final finishers crossing the line, the day was filled with grit, courage, celebration, and the kind of community spirit that reminds us why trail running is so special. Whether you joined us for the 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, or 100K, thank you for being part of something bigger than a race.

You brought the energy, determination, and heart that made the trail come alive.

Thank You to Our Partners

Events like this are only possible because of the incredible businesses and organizations who believe in supporting runners and strengthening community.

A huge thank you to our race partners:

  • Hammer Nutrition for helping keep runners fueled from start to finish

  • PlayOn Relief for supporting recovery and movement on race day

  • Shank Gym for continuing to champion our local endurance community

Their presence helped create a better experience for every runner on the course.

Your Registration Gives Back

One of the things we value most at SWVA Running is making sure our races directly support the communities and trails we love.

Your registration this year helped fund donations to:

  • Fries EMS

  • New River Trail State Park

  • Friends of the New River Trail

  • Lady Tigers Softball Team, who did an amazing job running the Cliffview Aid Station

Every mile you ran helped support the people and places that make this race possible.

That community impact matters deeply to us.

What’s Next?

If this weekend sparked a bigger goal, now is the perfect time to build toward your next adventure. We encourage runners who are dreaming bigger to explore a structured 50K training plan and continue building confidence one week at a time.
